Out o' Space Project

£900,000+ Target

Phases 1 and 2 completed in September 2025 – Our ground floor level  multi-use studios with sprung floors to accommodate dance, keep fit, yoga, fitness and other similar activities, are open from September. General access will be from around the side of the building.

The Poppleton Social's fantastic new kitchen will open around the same time followed swiftly by the new expanded cafe space - using temporary furniture until the new ones arrive. The new windows and roof will be undertaken early in 2026.

Also in September a Padel Court will be built, followed later by a Pétanque Rink.

The new Tennis Pavilion for Poppleton Tennis Club has been installed along with an access path - a patio area will be created later in the year.

Phase 3 to be confirmed – The original plan to build upstairs rooms and facilities, accessible via a lift and stairs, has been put on the back burner for the time being as has the initiative to accommodate Explore Library into the Centre complex. If funding becomes available we can develop the Centre building accordingly.

We won’t be able to do it without everyone who enjoys our facilities and appreciates this vibrant hub at the centre of the village giving maybe just a little time and a helping hand. Maybe you could help raise some of the money we need to bring the next phase of this exciting project to fruition.

Go to our crowdfunding page and pledge a donation to help us achieve the funding to turn this project into reality. Encourage your friends and family to get involved, too. It’s so easy to do and every donation helps us towards our goal. If you opt to add Gift Aid your donation will be boosted by 25% by HMRC – a brilliant way of helping us.

Many companies are keen to be involved in the communities they serve. Not only is it good for business but it is hugely appreciated by their colleagues.
